In lieu of growing up, I decided it was high time for me to be comfortable in my own skin. And as all of you probably know, it’s a lot harder than one might think. We’re constantly being shown what the “ideal” woman should look like, so we grow up thinking we’re never good enough. But trust me, you are perfect the way you are. I’ve realized that the more confidence you exude, the more people can see the beauty that is already there. And so, this, right here, is a huge step for me. We took these photos many months ago, yet I kept avoiding posting them out of fear for how people would react. But then Emma Watson came along and delivered one bad-ass speech to the UN. And this one thing she said really stuck with me – “I think that it is right that I should be able to make decisions about my own body”. I made that decision when I decided I wanted to do a lingerie editorial, and I’m making that decision again today. Both female and male bodies are a beautiful thing, and they should not be hidden for fear of being called promiscuous. My goal is, and has always been, to create art and to inspire others. And I hope that comes through in these photographs. Ladies, it’s time to realize how beautiful we all are, own that beauty, and be proud of it. Are you ready?
